Summer at the Lake of the Ozarks

By far, the most popular time of the year to visit the Lake of the Ozarks is Summer. With the kids out of school and the waters warmed by the heat of the summer sun, everyone loves to visit during summer. Water opportunities abound and you'll have the chance to jet ski, parasail, swim, visit water parks, or just lounge on the white sand beaches and enjoy perfect temperatures from the mid 80's to the low 90's. Fall/Autumn at the Lake of the Ozarks

Autumn is the time of the harvest around the Lake of the Ozarks and this is a perfect time to check out some of the many harvest festivals in the surrounding communities. Hunters and fishermen especially claim that this is the best time of the year to visit. With the kids back in school and the honeymooners settling into their new lives at home, the Fall season provides warm temperatures, beautiful colors and scenery, and a relaxed time for those who aren't interested in the youthful energy that fills the region during Spring and Summer. Retirees, sportsmen, and those seeking quiet walks in the woods or moonlit harvest moon reflections find this time of the year ideal.

Winter at the Lake of the Ozarks

Winter is a magical time at the Lake of the Ozarks. The State Parks such as Ha Ha Tonka and Lake of the Ozarks State Park are blanketed in a snowy carpet. The solid crunch of fresh white powder and low mist sitting on the lake as the wildlife settles into a natural rhythm that is more relaxed, less frantic, and a great escape from the hustle of life in the city. Light a fire and enjoy private moments looking into your loved one's eyes, rent a log cabin in the woods, or head into town and check out how the locals move the party indoors when the weather gets cooler. The pub and bar nightlife in the winter is every bit as exciting in winter as during the rest of the year. Live music, great food, and good friends.

Spring at the Lake of the Ozarks

Of course, everyone loves the Spring around the Lake of the Ozarks. Mild temperatures, flowers in bloom, love in the air, and that frenetic energy as life returns. It's an incredible time to be in the Ozarks region. Great fishing, beautiful vistas from horseback, hiking in the nearby bluffs, and watching as Mother Nature brings new generations of ducks, deer, rabbits, squirrels, and other wildlife into the world. The temperatures range from the 50's to 70's and you don't want to miss the stunning floral displays that spring from nature around the Lake. And if you are looking for a party, the Lake of the Ozarks is one of the prime Midwest locations where Spring Break happens so the clubs, Party Cove, and other revelry spots can be unbelievable.
