One thing about beautiful places like the Lake of the Ozarks is that they inspire great music. The Ozark mountains have always been known as a place where people didn't mind making music and that's still the case though strictly speaking, you probably won't be surprised to find out that the Opry houses aren't the only venues for finding great local music these days.

The diversity of genre and style ranges from classical orchestra performance to local garage bands hitting the stage in the local bars. It's no problem to find incredible music just feet from the shore and if you want to soak it up at a pool party you will find some of the hottest DJs in the nation laying down grooves during the hottest months of the summer.

Open mikes and acoustic nights make for some easy relaxation and sometimes you might hear that America's got talent before the rest of the world does if you are in the right place at the right time. whether Dixieland or Hip Hop is your thing, you'll find the concert listings have something for you every night of the week, year round.

One of the favorite venues for visitors is the Main Street Music Hall where you can hear the top hits of yesterday and some of the biggest names in country music today. Don't forget to bring your sense of humor, laughter flows freely on Main Street.

The many local bars and pubs offer lounge acts and acoustic music for you to wind down after a fun filled day in the Lake of the Ozarks and if you want to dance you will find everything from rock bands to big bands ready to give you their beats.
