Lake of the Ozarks Jet Ski Rentals
Lots of folks feel envious when they look out on the Lake of the Ozarks and see jet skiers having a great time. There's no reason to though, for a very reasonable price you can rent one of your own and join them. Prices vary with seasons but usually you can find a jet ski for an hourly rental price of between $30 and $60. Resorts and marinas also offer package specials which include early bird pick ups, delivery, or even using more than one personal water craft within the same rental period.
A wide selection of brands mean that if you have a favorite kind, you will find it and if you don't you probably will by the time you leave since the wide variety of sizes and styles appeal to different people for different reasons. If you want to cruise the lake's massive shoreline, you will want something different than if you are trying to break the lake speed record. The rental shops will make sure that you have all the right safety equipment and are familiar with the lakes rules and regulations before you head out. Safety is always a concern at the Lake of the Ozarks because making sure that families and individuals have a great time means they will return year after year.

After a safety briefing, you will be shown how to operate the machine. Don't worry, if you're already a pro, the briefing only takes a few minutes and you might even be able to pick up on a new trick or two. As with all motorized vehicles, operating a jet ski under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited. If you are caught, you can be fined, imprisoned, and lose your driving privileges. The State of Missiouri strictly enforces the rules and regulations of the lake, make sure that you know them before you go out. This is probably the only way you won't have a good time and it is easily avoided.
Life jackets are also required for all jet ski and wave rider operators. There are specific areas of the lake that are forbidden to jet skis so be sure to ask if no one tells you how to recognize those areas. When you arrive, check the jet ski for damage, it's a good idea to take pictures with a digital camera so that you aren't held responsible for damages someone else caused.
Finally, have fun. Riding a jet ski is safer than anything else that moves as fast and puts you so close to the surface. If you remember safety, follow the rules, and hold the throttle all the way down at least one time, you'll never regret it.
