Culvers has a great reputation at the Lake of the Ozarks as a place that is perfect for families. From the delicious deserts to the mouth watering entries, even the pickiest eaters in your bunch will find something to chew on. One thing is for sure, the summer patio concerts featuring Christian rockers Mission 5:16 have been a popular addition to the existing menu of delicious treats.

Mission 5:16 takes it's name from the verse Matthew 5:16 in the Holy Bible. “ In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in Heaven” and that is just what they have been doing at their 2010 Culvers Tour Concert Series. the band takes the spotlight and brings their good work to families and fans on the open air patio while providing wholesome to those seeking it in the heart of the Ozarks.

The band is made up of three great young guys who are working hard to create powerful music that is fun, promotes the good things in life, and builds faith and family in the process. Kyle, the lead guitar and vocalist says that because they have created Christian music with an edge is a part of the reason why Mission 5:16 has gained a loyal following. Joining Kyle are Darin on drums, and Wade on bass guitar and vocals. The mission of Mission 5:16 is to touch the hearts of people of all ages and show that there is still room for faith in today's world. All of their music is original and you will be stoked to find that it's not only powerful lyrics but also uplifting rhythm and melodies too.

Kids in particular find these concerts to be fun as Mission 5:16 often encourages people to come up on stage and share the limelight. Their latest album, “Who is the Man?” is doing well and you can find it in several area outlets as well as picking up a copy after you enjoy the fun at the Culvers Summer Patio Concert Series.

The next scheduled show is August 14 at Culvers. Music starts at 6:30 pm and runs until 9:00 pm so be sure to come and check it out while you are in the Lake of the Ozarks. Admission is free and the experience is priceless.
