Branson, Missouri, lies in the heart of the Ozark Mountain region, and is a popular vacation destination for visitors to the area. It has lots to offer, from museums and attractions, to excellent shopping outlets and golf courses. The local scenery is a major attraction and many visitors come to enjoy the varied outdoor pursuits on offer around the lakes and in the State Parks. Fishing is always popular and the whole family can enjoy renting a fishing boat for the day.

Historic downtown Branson is well worth a visit. Beautiful brick lined sidewalks tempt tourists into quaint shops and emporiums. There is an old fashioned drug store, an old-time five & dime, shops selling candy, beads, antiques, gifts, local crafts, plus a hundred other things you will want to purchase. You will spend hours browsing for gifts to take home.

Branson Landing on the Waterfront is a brand new shopping area with restaurants and spectacular views across the lake. Here you can the Branson Landing Fountains—an amazing water attraction featuring the first ever merging of water, light, fire, and music. Shows run hourly each day, beginning at noon.

If you want to take a tour of the wider area, why not enjoy a luxury Branson train ride which takes in the surrounding countryside and foothills of the Ozarks Mountains while you enjoy a delicious meal on board. Or why not treat your family to a horse and carriage ride—the kids will love it!

Other family attractions in the area include Branson Zipline and Canopy Tours at Wolfe Creek Preserve—an authentic eco adventure that kids will absolutely adore. The Butterfly Palace and Rainforest Adventure will also enthrall children, as will the interactive zoo and aquarium. They will probably enjoy the Haunted House and Monster Asylum, too!

Adults will find the Titanic Museum fascinating—here you can see the Titanic in a whole new light. Alternatively, why not take a ride on the Branson Landing Princess or Lake Queen. You can enjoy a cruise around the lake combined with dinner and a show.

Dads will enjoy the numerous golf ranges in the area, while kids can practice their swing on the mini golf courses, such as the one at Pirate’s Cove. Dads will probably also enjoy a tour around the Stone Hill Winery.

There is tones to do in Branson, so much in fact that you will struggle to fit it all in over the course of your vacation!
