Bull Shoals Lake Marinas
Unlike, other nearby destinations, Bull Shoals Lake still sits firmly in the realm of undiscovered country. Sitting in the Arkansas Ozarks just five miles from the Missouri State Line, there is year round fishing, country comfort, and no crowds of tourists filling the Lake's hotels, vacation rentals, antique shops, or marinas.
In fact, don't be surprised if you find a shop attendant taking a nap when you come in. Life is relaxed in the Ozarks and that's just what you are looking for on your outdoor holiday. Boaters come here for many reasons, to fish for the crappie, bass, trout, and Walleye for which the lake holds many state records, to paddle canoes or kayaks along the quiet shores, or to float in luxury in one of the deluxe or custom themed houseboats you find on the lake.

A few things to consider if you want to rent a boat. Normal operations are from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm though that varies from shop to shop. Early pickups can be arranged in advance. Rates start as low as $12 an hour and go up as high as you want to budget for. Since it's completion in 1951, the Bull Shoals Dam and the lake it holds have been drawing sportsmen, boaters, and recreational enthusiasts for the premium opportunities that exist.
The marinas have grown from that need and because of that, they offer just about everything you can think of from spare tent pegs to two stroke fuel additives. It's also possible to store your boat at the lake and if you want to rent a jet ski or two, you'll find a full range of brands, sizes, and rates either by the day or the hour. The folks working in the marinas will probably be more than happy to provide you with advice on what the fish are biting, hidden spots, or maybe even will share some of the colorful local history with you.
In any event, a trip to one of the marinas is a necessity if you want to be sure that you enjoy the full range of what Bull Shoals Lake has to offer. Even if you don't have or want a boat, you'll still find it well worth your while to spend an hour or two at the Bull Shoals Lake marinas.
